Who is Karen Murphy?
Karen Murphy is from Pennsylvania, and her experience recovering from narcissistic abuse inspired the creation of this book. Through her own healing journey, a desire to help others navigate the sticky path of healing was ignited. When she isn’t supporting others, Karen enjoys spending time with her family, exploring nature, or getting lost in a good crafting project. She is super excited about being promoted from Mom to “Mimi” and about competing in her first ballroom competition.
Why I wrote the book:
I wrote this book for the woman who is still wondering:
“Was it abuse?”
“Why do I miss someone who hurt me?”
“Why can’t I just move on?”
“How did I lose myself?”
Because I’ve asked those same questions.
Healing required truth, education, support, and patience. This book is the guide I wish I had when I began.
Karen’s story….
There was a time when I questioned my own memory.
My own judgment.
Even my own character.
Like many survivors of narcissistic abuse, I didn’t have language for what I was experiencing. I only knew something felt deeply wrong.
The slow erosion of confidence.
The constant self-doubt.
The emotional whiplash.
It wasn’t until I began learning about narcissistic patterns, trauma bonding, and psychological manipulation that everything started to make sense.
And clarity is powerful.
My Mission:
My mission is simple:
To help women move from confusion to clarity.
From shame to strength.
From survival to stability.
This is not about blame.
It’s about empowerment.
You are not broken. You are healing.
